Please come along and share in the celebration of how Rangikura School is working towards raising Māori achievement.
When: This Thursday 1st September
Where: Rangikura School Hall
Who: Whānau of our Māori learners
What: Kai, Kapa Haka & Korero!!!

6.00pm – Kai - nibbles will be provided.  (you are also welcome to bring kai to share if you want)
6.30pm -  Kapa haka performance
6.45pm  - Korero.  Hear about the awesome things happening at Rangikura School for our Māori Learners. You will also have the opportunity to tell us what else you want for your tamariki.

So here are some questions you can think about beforehand -
  • ‘What do you want your tamariki to learn?’
  • ‘How do you want your tamariki to learn?’
  • ‘What do you like about what is already happening here?’
  • ‘How can you assist us in educating your tamariki?’ eg. expertise within the whanau, kaumatua, etc.

Child care will be available.
Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday from 6.00pm.
Please support each other in coming along.

10th April 2016

A pānui has been sent home to the whānau of our Māori students.  This is the opportunity for you to say what day, and time of day, suits you best for Whānau Hui.  I look forward to receiving these notifications so that I can plan the next Whānau Hui for Term 2.

Term 1 Whānau Hui– 31st March 2016
·         Discussion about Whaea Toni’s Māori Liaison role.
·         Explain the importance of correctly completing the enrolment form in regards to ethnicity and iwi affiliation.
